The production of Pentro is relatively young, starting from 2007, but is quickly becoming one of the most established realites in South of Italy. A blend of Montepulciano and Sangiovese (recently even Tintilia) this wine matures for 24 months in barrel and 12 months in bottle before being released. Intense and deep with dark balsamic notes, eucaliptus and berries but also coffee and toasted wood.
